Hanging Out at Hesperia

My friend, Mike and I went exploring last night. I had found Hesperia of Templemore via a post on StrawberrySingh.com and decided to check it out.  Now I think I've found my new favourite place!

Every time we turned a corner, we found yet another cool hangout wandering around this sim.  Apparently, it features live music but unfortunately we didn't come across any events this night.  Will definitely return.

Aaargh... Zombies!  There, pretty as a picture.

After a long hiatus, it was fun to return to two of my favourite SL pastimes - shopping and exploring.

I threw on one of my new tops from -SU!-  (Why, yes, I DO work out. Thank you for noticing...), headed to Deadpool and managed to evade the zombies long enough to take these pictures.   The abandoned theme park has an appropriately eerie atmosphere and is well worth a look.  Next time I return, I'll pack a fully loaded weapon that I can actually use (Oh, mouselook, why do you forsake me?).

My cute glasses, by the way, were an extreme bargain from Mad Mesh at only 9L.

A Loeil Noel?

I have been really busy re-landscaping and decorating my island home so posts have been thin on the ground.  On my daily scouting mission for cool home things today, I was greeted with this adorable Christmas display in Trompe Loeil.

I've already started thinking a little about how I'd decorate for Christmas this year.  Living beach side, I'm afraid the traditional Christmas tree may look too out of place.  This metal branch 'tree' is certainly on my 'potential' list.  The star decorations and presents would also look fabulous!

My bestie Gwen and I, are quite fond of a drink or two so when we went on a girl's only trip to Tableau, it seems we partook in a few too many tequila slammers and prickly pear margaritas. Being the great friend that I am (and stronger drinker), I had to escort her back to our room...
